Currie and Dickson Are Over The Line.

Manager Chris Anderson is delighted to announce that both Ryan Currie and Paul Dickson have committed to the club for the following season.

Ando spoke to valeofleithen.co.uk and had this to say.

“I am delighted to have the boys signed up for the season ahead. Ryan offers real quality in the midfield area and has great pedigree. He’s a busy player and links well with the forward players in the team.

“Paul offers a real composure to the back line. Very left sided Dicko is more than capable of playing in the lowland league. He has a great turn of pace and is also dangerous going forward.”

The club would like to welcome both boys to Victoria Park for the season ahead. We can’t wait to see them in those famous colours.

A good run out for getting the players match fit.
During the game 20 players were given a run out
Paul Dickson had headed home from a corner in 10 minutes to give Vale a early lead.
However, Lily equalised five minutes later when a low cross into the box was left by the Vale defence and ended up in the net.
HT 1-1
After mass changes by both teams at half time both sides had various chances to score with both goalies, especially the Lily one in good form.
Sean Stewart put the Vale ahead in the 60 minute with a powerful high drive from the edge of the box.
Lily again equalised in the 67 minute when a cross from the left was turned in.
Overall a draw was probably a fair result and a good workout for both teams
