The Vale finished the season in 3rd bottom place with 29 points. There was no relegation this year as Selkirk FC had withdrawn from the league mid season due to financial problems.

The Vale were knocked out of the Scottish Cup at the first round stage by Gretna 3-2 away from home. A disappointing score as Vale led for awhile and failed to put a good chance away to take a two goal lead.

The Vale lost their first round tie in the EOS Qualifying cup away to Oakley Utd 3-2.

They also lost their South Challenge first round tie at home to Jeanfield Swifts 4-2.

They were also put out of the Lowland League Cup athe the first round stage by being beaten by Edinburgh University 1-0 at home.
