The Ferrari Packaging Scottish Lowland Football League have announced that two new clubs have been admitted to the league. Civil Service Strollers and Hawick Royal Albert, both formerly members of the East of Scotland League have been admitted for the forthcoming season. The selection of the clubs reflected their commitment to the pyramid system over the past few years, which saw both secure club licensing. Also playing their first season in the Lowland League will be East Stirlingshire, after losing out to Edinburgh City in the play-offs. And Threave Rovers will also be absent, having submitted their resignation and will return to the South of Scotland League for now.
League CLowland League Announce Expansionhairman Andrew Waddell said “We interviewed the applicants and the Board members assessed them against a series of performance criteria. The final results were close but Hawick Royal Albert and Civil Service Strollers came out ahead. We welcome them to the Lowland League.”
